Parts of a Refrigerator

There are not many houses that don’t feature a refrigerator inside the kitchen. It has been a must-have kitchen appliance for several years now. A household refrigerator can store food at the best temperature, in order to reduce spoiling and slow down the growth of bacteria. The concept of refrigeration works by distributing the warmth from the inside of the unit to the exterior, using the principles of evaporation and condensation.

The standard components of a refrigerator are below. For questions or service call Miller Appliance Repair:

Compressor

The refrigerator compressor is both a pump and a motor, and it’s necessary for the circulation of refrigerant throughout the system.
A compressor is an important part of a refrigerator. You should hire a professional service if the compressor isn’t working.

Condenser

The condenser is attached on the back outside panel of the appliance and helps to disperse the heat collected inside the refrigerator out in the surrounding air.

Evaporator

The refrigerator evaporator is attached in the interior of a refrigerator where it absorbs heat contained within it, effectively lowering the interior temperature.

The moment the evaporator isn’t working, it’s time to call a professional. Do not wait until it is too late.

Expansion Device

Liquified coolant is transported within a capillary tube which serves as an expansion device to cool the gas, thereby transforming it back into a liquid.

Thermostat

A thermostat exists to regulate the temperature throughout a refrigerator, beginning the cooling period as it is appropriate.

The thermostat inside of a refrigerator is prone to issues. Troubleshoot and hire a repairman in CITY for service the moment an issue occurs.

How Does Refrigeration Work?

1. Once the temperature inside the refrigerator is above the set point sensors signal the compressor to start, and the next cooling period starts. The refrigerator draws in the cool liquid refrigerant, pressurizes and condenses the liquid, and raises the temperature, so it can turn into a gas.

2. The refrigerator compressor unit directs the warm gas towards the condenser coils located on the back of the refrigerator, at which point it comes in contact with the lower temperature in the kitchen and returns back to a liquid form.

3. The cool liquid then continues its journey to the refrigerator evaporator component, traveling through the coils on the interior of the refrigerator and freezer compartment.

4. The liquid then absorbs the heated air from the interior of the refrigerator, thereby cooling the temperature back to the best set point.

5. The refrigerant will evaporate, and turns back into a gas form, and then returns to the compressor to continue the cycle.

Refrigeration technology is often used in quite a few applications and appliances, including heat pumps, AC units, refrigerators and freezers. By contracting warmth from a single place and distributing it to another the continuous cycle of refrigeration helps cooling your house, provides a perfect environment for food that is perishable, and also helps with the manufacturing and storage of several different common products and goods.
