OVEN & STOVE PROBLEMS

WON’T TURN ON

When an electric stove doesn’t turn on, ensure the appliance is plugged in and that all circuit breakers are on. You should check the pilot light on gas stoves. If the appliance power cord is plugged in and the pilot light is on in the oven, then a different part of the appliance will need to be fixed. The cause of the problem might be an infinite switch, surface element, burner igniter or broil and bake element.

BURNER DOESN’T HEAT

A stove or burner that doesn’t produce heat will not do much good. Your oven does not heat when there is a broken bake element or a malfunctioning oven sensor. A burner doesn’t turn on when an element breaks or the burner switch or the terminal block do not work. We can troubleshoot and fix these problems in less than 1-2 hours after we arrive.

TIMER PROBLEMS

You can assume the control board on a stove or oven is broken when the timer or program functions aren’t working. If that’s the case, we are able to repair control panels for GE, LG, Sears, KitchenAid, Kenmore and most other brands of ranges, stoves and ovens. We offer a warranty on control panels and the manufacturer replacement parts we install for this type of stove repair service.

OVEN TEMPERATURE IS TOO HOT

You want a hot oven. Although not too hot! When the oven heat is out of control, it could be because of a problem with the sensor or thermostat. Our repairmen know how to identify the cause of the issue and fix it. Always be careful if troubleshooting this problem for fear of skin burns from the very high and totally unpredictable heat.

IGNITER WON’T LIGHT

A common stove problem is when an igniter will glow but it will not light. The reason this occurs is sometimes from either a broken surface igniter, safety valve, electronic control or temperature sensor. We can determine whether we can repair these parts or if we will need to replace the part.

DOOR WON’T OPEN

Modern self-cleaning models of ovens are known to experience door problems. The door won’t open after the cleaning cycle. We inspect the door latch, seal and thermostat to troubleshoot why the door will not open and then we complete the necessary repair so we can fix the issue.
